How to write positive exponents? such as... a^-3 b^-1 c^2 d^4 Please help!! thanks;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In general, for non-zero values of a,\[a^{-n}=\frac{1}{a^n}\]

Would you continue to do the rest of the equation that way?

Yep. a^(-3) and b^(-1) would go into the denominator as a^3 and b^1 (or just b), and you'd be left with c^2 and d^4 in the numerator.
