This is a grid that I used to use to help me remember conjugations.
Nosotros is supposed to say "we," sorry.
wait so usually the verbs have to agree masculine masculine femine femine so wouldnt it be b cause there both masculine
Now, "tener" is irregular, which means it's not going to be conjugated like other er verbs. DO you know the verb endings to er verbs in this tense?
Well, you're onto something! The verbs DON'T have to agree (nouns do), BUT you were right -B is not the answer, It's wrong because be is in the yo form.
Spanish English yo tengo I have tú tienes (singular, familiar) you have usted tiene (singular, familiar) you have él / ella tiene he / she has nosotros / nosotras tenemos we have ustedes tienen (plural) you have ellos / ellas tienen they have
ive been using tht thing
Yes, it serves the same purpose as my little grid. :) |dw:1361382233775:dw|
hehe nice
so im pretty sure its a cause b isnt right and c doesnt really look right and nosotros is we and its supposed to be were hot or somin
Perfect. Hey! I just realized why you might have been confused. The reason they're using "tenemos" in this question, which means "we have" and not "estamos" (we are) is because to say you are hungry, hot, cold, or any feeling using "tener" in Spanish. Literally translated, it means, "We have heat." But Spanish-speakers know that it just means, "we're hot." You might see it again as "Tengo sed." (I am thirsty.) But literally it means, "I have thirst." I don't know why that is, but hey, that's wha we got to work with. :) Glad I could help you today! :)
thx so much!
