Read the statement shown below. “A tiger is a cat, and a cat has two legs.” Which statement has the same truth value as the above statement? A poodle is a cat, and a dog has four legs. An ostrich is a bird, or all birds can fly. An ostrich is a bird, and a bird has two legs. A poodle is a dog, or a poodle has two eyes.
I'm almost positive it's A
To have the same truth values, both the statement and it's converse need to be true. A poodle is a cat, and a dog has four legs. A dog has four legs, and a poodle is a cat. Write the same for each of the options and see if they're as "true" as the original statement. This question is rather cryptic.
I don't understand @TrashMan914
@amistre64 can you help me?
c!
@Anders96 that's what I thought, but it's wrong......
uuhhmmm.... sorry Dx
An ostrich is a bird, and a bird has two legs.
It's not C because this is a question I got wrong....
@Hero
A poodle is a dog, or a poodle has two eyes. Then it for sure has to be this one!!!!
@e.cociuba would you mind explaining why?
lol, there's only one correct answer, and it's obvious.
Because you said it not c "It's not C because this is a question I got wrong...." tht wat u said, so c's excluded. Its not "A poodle is a cat, and a dog has four legs", cuz a poodle is not a cat! And its not "An ostrich is a bird, or all birds can fly" cuz a ostrich is a large African bird which runs fast but cannot fly (Its a bird that cant fly), so tht leaves u with d!! Its the true one.
No, @e.cociuba, you didn't read the question properly.
@Sunshine447, A is the correct answer because A has the same truth value as the original statement.
Oh that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying:)
Thanks, guys
