Solve the following equation. 6x^(3)-5x^(2)-2x+1=0 I can only find the root x-1 ......

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

long division

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if there is only the equation, how can i use long division?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

like you did in your last question! omg, how did you do your last ques?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummm....i forgot XDD i don't like polynomials.... is it substitute any values that =0?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

just divide (6x^(3)-5x^(2)-2x+1) -------------------- (x-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but originally the question doesn't have x-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the original question: solve the equation: 6x^(3)-5x^(2)-2x+1=0

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

But you found out right, that x-1 is a factor, you can of course divide that by x-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummm... ok... thanks...
