If wires carrying electric currents to the same direction attract each other, why the roadside electric wires don't come closer when the currents are going to the same direction through them?
because the attraction force between them is very weak , and they are tight enough
actually, i'm confident they do, to some very small extent.
The law is the law, no exceptions just because it is the roadside. Also remember that these cables are normally carrying alternating current and may not be in phase, not flowing in the same direction at the same time. They will be attracting and then repelling.
actually the current in the wires is 120 degree apart in phase. therefore the formula has to be modifies keeping in mind the phase factor.there is definitely an attraction. But that is visible to you or not depends in the frequency of the current.
the wire carrying ac current. so its not always attraction. cometimes repell too
ya ryt...it carries ac current...the direction of current changes every instant...how will any attractive force act in between two wires...
