This one has stumped me... Three circles of radii 5 cm, 6 cm and 8 cm are positioned so that they just touch one another. Their centres form the vertices of a triangle. Find the largest angle in the triangle.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The three sides measure 11, 13, and 14. The largest angle is opposite the longest side. Use the law of cosines to find it.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Add the radii of each two adjacent circles.

Parth (parthkohli):

It's pretty easy. The radius remains the same.
