Do you know what "infinitive verbs" are? Those are Spanish verbs that end with the letter R. like....IR, and SER, and VENIR. Their meanings all begin with TO. For example, IR means TO GO. VENIR means TO COME. SER means TO BE. You get it? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Infinitive verbs can be CONJUGATED. That means that they can be CHANGED, so that they mean different things. For example, VENIR means TO GO. But when we conjugate it into the YO form, we get VENGO, which means I COME. ("Yo" means "I.") ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So, let's take a look at your first question: "What's the correct form of the verb IR?" In order to do this, we need to CONJUGATE the verb IR, like I mentioned just now. Here are all of the forms of IR, and their meanings: (Yo) VOY -- I go (Tú) VAS -- You go (Él/Ella/Usted) VA -- He/She goes (Nosotros) VAMOS -- We go (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) VAN -- They go ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So you see, the different forms of IR are.... VOY....VAS....VA....VAMOS...and VAN. This is one of those things that we need to memorize. Let's take a look at the sentence, with the blank: "Nosotros _________ a la escuela." It means, "We _______ to the school." Since the sentences starts with NOSOTROS, we have to use the NOSOTROS form of IR. Make sense? Can you see which one that is?
