Although I don't completely understand the distinctions between these different clauses from what I just read ( http://www.showandtellforparents.com/wfdata/frame236-1056/pressrel21.asp), i'd have to say that the answer is adverbial clause.
Because, an adverbial clause is "a dependent clause that modifies a verb, an adjective, or an adverb. It also can't stand alone as a sentence. It usually answers the questions "where," "when," "how," "why," "to what extent," or "under what condition."
