When I evaluate a lim and I get 0/1, can I use L'hopital's rule?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if you got 0/1, and you did everything correctly, then your answer is just 0

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

this is because 0/1 = 0

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

0/x = 0 where x is not zero

I mean when I plug in the limit initially and get 0/1. Will then use L'hopital's rule?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you can't use that rule unless you get 0/0
