what is LXIX in roman numerals HELP !!!!! I REALLY NEED HELP and PLEASE EXPLAiN HOW U GET THE ANSWER

OpenStudy (anonymous):

L=50 X=10 I=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like explainnnnnnnnnnnnnn how u get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is 69. With Roman Numerals, when you have the larger numbers on the left (such as L) and the smaller on the right(X and I), you add. If you have the smaller numbers on the left instead of right, you subtract from the large unit. L = 50, X= 10, and I= 1. So 50+ 10+ (10-1).

If XI=11 what does IX=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought it was minus Veillant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The I is before the X on the last 2 symbols. So its subtraction for IX.
