1. Why did early humans develop music? What are some of the ways that they were thought to create music?
well why do you think we have it today. maybe as they expanded their learning horizon they learned cognitive skills and that to recreational purpose. does it make a little sense?
so true i wonder how was it back then with no music
hmmm...never thought of this question or poetrylover's reasoning
do i need to expand a bit more?
why not
ill try, well im thinking of the hominids, hunting and gathering. but as well leisure development. they could have been a tribe or family and can be together in a way to developed rhythm.
as well as the brain develops more you remember and expand your horizons on creativity i believe this was how tribal and ritual dances were created. i really hope i didnt confuse anyone.
I fully understand you. I'm not looking for a debate but why do you refer to hominids? i never could grasp why people thought primates are the ancestors of humans. If thats so, why aren't apes and monkeys evolving today. I know evolving is not an over night process unless you're a caterpillar and don't get me wrong humans and primates do have similarities but why are there still primates if humans are their descendants. Just asking.
i dont want to debate either. but hominids were the first animals to stand upright, have oposible thumbs, and make weapons.
Early humans developed music because they wanted to express their cultural values and traditions. As for your second question, it is a bit unclear. I can make out what it is trying to ask, but please rephrase it to make more clear to what it is trying to say.
