-3x+6y=12

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

Minus 6y from the 12 then divide 3x into 6 x=2

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

x=-2*

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

Divide -3x into 6*

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

Thats right isn't it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. it isn't. You just threw the "x" away. @zakirdunn1, I'm guessing you want to find "y" You start by isolating the Y term by adding 3x to both sides. That leaves you with 6y=whatever, so you then want to divide both sides by 6.
