Trigonometry 14 Online

solve by completing the square: 10x + 8^2 = 11. I know I first have to square root both sides but I'm confused as what to do afterwards

OpenStudy (anonymous):

completing the square means taking half of the b variable and squaring it and then adding it to both sides. so in this case divide 10 by 2 which comes to 5 and square it so it becomes 25 and then add 25 to both sides of the equations Hope this helps! Cheers! ^.^

oh I actually meant extracting the square root, sorry!
