Which is the healthiest serving of meat?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It depends on the age and gender. However, meat could be cut out and that would be "healthiest", meat is VERY hard on your digestive system. However, a "healthy" portion would differ person to person. However, this may be able to aid you.. http://www.choosemyplate.gov/food-groups/proteinfoods_amount_table.html

The highest grade. Check out the meat grade rating. I believe the highest is grade A.

are you asking about portion size or what type of meat is healthiest? health and dietary experts say that the proper portion size for a serving of meat is about the size of a deck of cards. (not very big.) they also say that the rest of our diet should consist mainly of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and low fat dairy products. if you're asking about the healthiest meat - that depends on whether you mean beef or any meat. white meat chicken and turkey are considered very healthy. there are also lean cuts of beef that are considered healthy. (fatty hamburger and steaks are not among them.) there is no grade A beef. the best beef for flavor, marbling (fat) and tenderness is USDA PRIME.(this does not necessarily make it healthy, it has a lot of fat in it which gives it it's flavor.) it is mostly found in restaurants or very fancy butcher shops, but not in the supermarket. USDA Choice is the next level down and is less marbled, less tender, less flavorful - but still very tasty. USDA Select is a low level of meat and will be tough and have a lot less flavor. ok, everything you always wanted to know about meat! not sure if i answered your questions, but tried to cover all the possible bases :)
