Help with Algebra 1: slope? The slope is 1/3 and the y intercept is 3 How would I graph that in a slope- intercept method? I just need to describe it in a few sentences.

@ash2326 :)

OpenStudy (ash2326):

y intercept is the point where x=0 So on y-axis, make a point at y=3 that;s the point (0, 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome. :) One more I think, but I'll make a different topic.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

No, it's not over, you need to find one more point to make the line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops, okay cx

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Now we can find another point in several ways, just put x=1, find y. Then join the first point with the second, extend the line both ways and there you have

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would y be 0?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

\[y=\frac 1 3 x+3\] x=1\[y=\frac 13 +3\]

Thanks so much :)
