oey is conducting an experiment in which he will roll a six-sided die, numbered 1 to 6, record its result, and then roll a ten-sided die, numbered 1 to 10. What is the probability that the result of the rolls is two threes?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Okay well what are the odds of both? we have a 6 sided die...and we want a 3....so that is a 1/6 chance then we have a 10 sides die....which is a 1/10 chance....now just add the 2 probabilities 1/6 + 1/10 Least common denominator is 60 so 10/60 + 6/60 adding brings this to 16/60 simplifying brings it to 4/15 :) hope that helped
