OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Can someone help me with some Geometry questions, I don't have a lot of time to do this >.< please? (:

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) 8.57. you have a formula for this, it's = 360/ 42

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c) 6300 . the same with b , just replace n =37

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b) (n-2)180 /n = 171.43. sorry for my mistake

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d) 92 since sum of interior of a pentagon is 540 . you can count it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

e) 133 you have formula to count the sum of interior angle of a gon. you have hexagon, so the sum is = 720, substract other known angles, you have x = 133

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

wait can you show me how to do these?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do what?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

like help me get the answer?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

before you tell me the answer I mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any answer have the argue how to get it, read it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for question 1) central angle of a gon has formula is 360/n where n is number of sides of a gon, you have a 42-gon, it means you have 42 sides. just take n/42 . that's it

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

For #2 n now equals 37?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your #2 is a 42-gon, too. apply the same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I give you the link of the website where I get the information, you read it. I try to help by reading it only, I am not good that much http://www.mathopenref.com/polygoncentralangle.html

OpenStudy (anonymous):

about interior angles : here is the site http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/interior-angles-polygons.html

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope that help. about question #6. I know how to do it by myself. if you cannot, let me know then.

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

@jim_thompson5910 Could you help me please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sum of the central angles of a regular polygon is 360 degrees, so in a 42-gon each central angle will be 360/42=? degrees.

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

8.57

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Number 2?

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

This a quiz for a grade?

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

Or homework?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@karatechopper it does say quiz on the attachment. Take a look for ur self.

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

Well I see that, but I mean that sometimes people get quizzes for homework and we help em out..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, true. But i truly dont know if its a quiz for a grade or homework.

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

Well since this one doesn't look like a true quiz that will put in as cheating, looks like a practice quiz, I'm gonna let it slide, continue helping along :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okaii thanx @karatechopper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh it is a online class though. if it helps at all.

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

Then the quiz would be in a url. Online school quizzes don't let you copy and paste

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah they do, some of them give you an attachment (the quiz) and you do it, then turn it in.

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

I have an updated file of this now

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

@phi Any feedback?

OpenStudy (phi):

for 6, you can use the idea that a straight line is 180 deg. use that to fill in the missing angles inside the hexagon

OpenStudy (mertsj):

B is correct for #2

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Is 6 D?

OpenStudy (phi):

same idea for Q10. to fill in the exterior angle.

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

I think I'm doing something wrong why I'm not getting any of the answers :/

OpenStudy (phi):

I don't remember. but the interior angle at F is 105 (because 105+75= 180) at A it is 110 now you have the same problem as the earlier ones.

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

I still don't understand I'm sorry :/

OpenStudy (phi):

In the figure for Q6, do you see the 75º right above F ?

OpenStudy (lifeisadangerousgame):

Yes

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Yes 6 is D
