Have you ever heard of ASSIMILATION?

ASSIMILATION is where we see something new,
and we compare it with something that we already know.

For example,
a five year old girl sees a camel.
She has never seen a camel before, but she HAS seen a horse.
And camels KIND OF look like horses, right?
They're brown, hairy, and they have four legs.

So she points at the camel, and says "Look mommy! Horse!"

That's ASSIMILATION.
