This question is all about DIRECT OBJECT pronouns, and INDIRECT object pronouns. The first thing we need to do is translate the sentence into English. It'll make it easier for us. "Mi papa trajo un libro para mi." "My dad brought a book for me." ~~~~~~~~~~ Now, let's talk about what DIRECT and INDIRECT objects are. ~~~~~~~~~~ A DIRECT object is the thing that is the TARGET of the verb. The VERB is BROUGHT. QUESTION: What did my dad bring?? ANSWER: Book. So, the DIRECT OBJECT is BOOK. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The INDIRECT OBJECT is who the action was done FOR. QUESTION: WHO did my dad bring the book for? ANSWER: Me. So, the INDIRECT OBJECT is ME. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So now, we have THREE important things: 1. The INDIRECT OBJECT is ME. 2. The DIRECT OBJECT is BOOK. 3. The VERB is BROUGHT. We just need to put them into Spanish now, in that order. Oh, and one more thing: we need to substitute the word BOOK with IT, because the word IT is an direct object PRONOUN. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ English: Me Spanish: Me English: It Spanish: Lo English: Brought Spanish: Trajo In THAT order: "Me lo trajo." It means... "He brought it for me."

Thanks for explaining it :) I have a couple similar questions like this hopefully I can get them down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure. All we have to do is find three things. 1. Indirect object 2. Direct object 3. Verb And we put them into Spanish, in THAT order. It's not hard. Good luck.

I might post a couple more to check my answer
