OpenStudy (anonymous):

We already have the noun: las bicicletas. What we need to do is use the correct form of the VERB. We have to CONJUGATE (change) the verb. The VERB is COSTAR (to cost). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Here are all the forms of COSTAR that we can have: (Yo) CUESTO --- I cost (Tú) CUESTAS --- You cost (Él/Ella/Usted) CUESTA --- He/She/It costs (Nosotros) COSTAMOS --- We cost (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) CUESTAN --- They cost ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now, the NOUN, again, is LAS BICICLETAS. It's a PLURAL noun. So, we have to use the (Ellos/Ellas) form of costar, which means THEY COST, as you can see. Can you look at the list I gave you, and choose the right form of Costar?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

costan??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool beans

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. COSTAN isn't on the list. Look again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how not?...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take a look at the list that I wrote. The (Ellos/Ellas) form of the verb COSTAR is not "costan."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh it transfers to ue.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sí. Muy bien.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahahaha @InYourHead ur good! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jbluver Remember how I said we need to use the (Ellos/Ellas) form of COSTAR? Which means "they cost"? It's not COSTAN. Take another look at the list I gave you. Find the (Ellos/Ellas) form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uh okay..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the answer dear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

costar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Take another look at the list I gave you. Find the (Ellos/Ellas) form."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

CUESTAN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk im soooo lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Muy bien. It's cuestan.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just look at my list. CUESTAN is the Spanish word for "they cost." It's the (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) form of COSTAR. And we use that form, whenever we're talking about a PLURAL noun. We were talking about LAS BICICLETAS. That's a plural noun.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was not the same conjongation(however u spell that) u use normally it was a ummm.. i forget the term...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHHHHHHHHHHHHH is eee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Stem changing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome. I wrote my list with the English meanings of the words, right next to the Spanish, you see there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i see lol thanks(:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

De nada.
