Genotypes and phenotypes are alike because… in paragraph form please :)

OpenStudy (bostonblue):

the genotype is the blueprint or code for the phenotype. they aren't really alike, so much as related. do you know the definition of genotype? or of phenotype? my advice is to look up the definitions and then you''ll have an understanding of what each one means and will be able to describe the relationship without too much trouble. here's a link that does a good job of defining them and describing the relationship. remember that when you write your paragraph, you have to say it in your own words. http://www.brooklyn.cuny.edu/bc/ahp/BioInfo/SD.Geno.HP.html

OpenStudy (dean.shyy):

Genotypes and phenotypes are alike because they both are expressive factors of a life form. Genotypes are expressive on a genetic level, while phenotypes are expressive on a physical level. In addition, they all are factors that involve a set of genes that helps express their basis.

good point Dean.Shyy! i was forgetting to point out the similarities as well as the differences. (gave you a medal! nice answer.) oloverwantsyou, do you understand? it's probably good to learn both the similarities and differences - even though your question was only about the similarities. . . if you're learning about them, your teacher is likely to want you to understand all of it. let us know if you have any confusion.

@BostonBlue You are right, as well as @Dean.Shyy . Thank you both for the answer :)
