I'm probably a little fuzzy on this, but I seem to recall that the key is in the sign of the a-term, and with the "odd or even-ness" of the variable with the largest degree. In this case, since a is positive, I would say that the graph rises to the right as x -> infinity, and since the degree is 4 (even) then it would also "rise to the left" (<--I hate using that expression) as x -> -infinity.
