OpenStudy (anonymous):

Identify the greatest common factor. Then factor the expression. 3x^5+6x^4-9x^3+6x^2

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

well what is the biggest number that can come out of each term?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^5

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

no 3x^5+6x^4-9x^3+6x^2 each number "not x" is divisable by 3 arent they? so factor out a 3 3(x^5 + 2x^4 - 3x^3 + 2x^2) now what is the biggest "x" that can be taken out of all of these? x^2 right? 3x^2(x^3 + 2x^2 - 3x + 2) now factor those parenthesis...do you know how?
