Which of the following inequalities matches the graph? -6x + y < 3 6x + y < 3 6x - y < -3 The correct inequality is not listed I chose The correct inequality is not listed Am I right? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its c

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which one is it??? C, or D?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

It can't be c. y = 6x + 3 implies going to 3, okay, that's fine. Now we go up 6 and over one, but WAIT, the line is on 1/2 not 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thank you! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It was c... :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its c dude trust me the slope of the line is 6 in the positive and negative direction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Too late, I already submitted my test and that was the only question I missed...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you though :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem that guy is an idiot

OpenStudy (compassionate):

IMPOSSIBLE. I just plugged it in the graphing equation and got a different answer.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Reported for flame.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur here to help people and u gave them the wrong answer nice going bud

OpenStudy (compassionate):

The graph is not drawn to scale.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

c = y > 6x + 3

OpenStudy (compassionate):

That is not the case.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

6x - y < -3 -y < -3 - 6x divide all terms by "-" y > 6x + 3 your graph does start at 3...but is is NOT greater than

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

so C cannot be correct

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Because we don't go over by 1 because 6x = 6 up and over one, however, we go over 0.5

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Exactly, John

OpenStudy (compassionate):

So we're left with B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the graph is positive since the slop is positive look at the shading its above the line meaning y is greater than the equation u guys r wrong

OpenStudy (compassionate):

The slope is negative as it is not increasing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wtf r u talking about the slope is up 6??? the shading is above the line not below it
