what is software development in software engineering all about ? its got to much theory and i don't understand it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm a software engineer, I can help you with that. The software development life cycle follow as requirements, design, implementation, verification and maintenance. You're also required to model a software, which is done by using unified modelling language (UML). Use cases:scenario, description, diagram and class diagram There are also software development models which are used for different purpose of projects. *waterfall *spiral *iterative *rapid app development *code and fix Although the most common development model is considered as waterfall. I guess these would be enough for now :) Good luck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with the life cycle is it the main procedure of developing a program

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is the process of software development, first you get the requirements from your "client" then start from there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohk then what is the difference between software engineering and tradtional engineering

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean by traditional engineering?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know it too i have came across it while i was studying some notes a lecture gave out during class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by traditional engineering if you meant engineering in general, engineering uses the same concept and methodology despite it's expertise of engineering, it's a combination of rules and subjects to produce a product in a best way possible. Now, this "product" may very depending on the engineering, could be a building, ship, car, airplane, software etc. but the methodology and concepts of engineering are the same even though they're applied to produce different product.

I hope it makes a bit more sense.
