Why is Sir Francis Bacon sometimes referred to as "The Father of Modern Science"? Bacon proposed the scientific method. Bacon invented the microscope. Bacon invented empiricism. Bacon invented the atomic model.
@SnuggieLad ?
@dmezzullo
Bacon invented the microscope
thank you (:
Np, may i have a medal plz?
ow is the work of Rene Descartes related to that of Sir Isaac Newton? They both made their most famous discoveries while working for the king of England. Newton and Descartes revolutionized navigation with their research, which led to increased colonization of the Americas. Descartes's developments in analytical geometry were used by Newton in his development of calculus and research into optics. Descartes was inspired to create a system of analytical geometry to describe Newton's Theory of Gravity. @dmezzullo

for the first question B is WRONG
Apparently this person didn't know what they were talking about in #1 because Zacharias Janssen was the one who invented the microscope. By the way the answer is in this text that came from the course. "Kepler was demonstrating one of the most important parts of the scientific revolution. There was a new kind of scientific method now. During the Middle Ages, scientists used deductive reasoning, which meant that they started with a conclusion about the natural world and then studied and looked for facts to support that conclusion. But an English philosopher named Francis Bacon, who lived at the same time as Galileo, proposed that scientists should start using inductive reasoning. This meant that they should gather information and facts, study and test them, and then create a conclusion. It was based on observing first and then creating an idea. Before this, scientists had mostly relied on deductive reasoning. This type of reasoning worked in the opposite direction, first coming up with a conclusion and then trying to prove it. This would be one of the most important breakthroughs of the scientific revolution. It is still the way that science is performed in the modern world."
Which I think it's A.
