@highschoolmom2010 Thanks. Now we can see how Google Translate can totally screw up the translations.

@LilySwan It sounds like you're learning about preterite (past tense) verbs. Do you already know how to conjugate verbs into the past tense? Because if you don't, I can walk you through it.

@LilySwan I saw that you were typing just a second ago. Are you there?

Okay, well, let me show you how to conjugate verbs into the past tense. I'm going to use the first question, as an example. Just the first. ~~~~~~~~~ The verb in that sentence is BUSCAR (to search for). The FIRST thing we need to do is to take off the last two letters. So now, we have BUSC-- ~~~~~~~~~~ Step 1 is already done. Take off the last two letters of BUSCAR. And what we have left is BUSC--. ~~~~~~~~~~ Step 2. We need to add a new ending onto BUSC--, in order to change the meaning of the word. This is how we CONJUGATE verbs. We just add new endings onto them. The new endings for all (AR) verbs are all the same. Here are all the different forms of BUSCAR, in past tense: (Yo) Busqué --- I searched (Tú) Buscaste --- You searched (Él/Ella/Usted) Buscó --- He/She searched (Nosotros) Buscamos --- We searched (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) Buscaron --- They searched ~~~~~~~~~ So you see, the new endings that we can add are.... é aste ó amos aron And remember! These endings only word for (AR) verbs, in the PAST TENSE. It's the same rule, anytime we're conjugating (AR) verbs into the PAST TENSE. ~~~~~~~~~~ Questions?
