OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

To proof that your solution is correct, follow the following template: Sub x = -13 into 3x-7=5x+19, LHS = 3(-13) - 7 = Some Answer (not gonna do your work for you ;P) RHS = 5(-13)+19 = Some Answer = (or) \(\neq\) LHS Therefore, x = -13 is (not) a solution to the equation 3x-7=5x+19.
