A prism has a volume of 58 in^3. If the dimensions are tripled, what is the volume?
Let's say the dimensions were L, W, and H so the volume was LWH. Then the dimensions changed to 3L, 3W and 3H. So the new volume is 3L(3W)(3H) or 27 LWH. So how does the new volume compare with the old volume?
would the answer be 174?
no. Could you answer my question? How does the new volume compare with the old volume?
it's less. .-. i dunno
Reread my post. What is the old volume?
Let's say the dimensions were L, W, and H so the volume was LWH.
i multiply L, W, & H? If so, that'd be 27. the old volume was 58in^3
the volume was LWH
LWH is the old volume
So the new volume is 3L(3W)(3H) or 27 LWH.
What is the new volume?
LHW?
i dont know im sorry D: im really bad at math
You're not having a math problem. You're having a reading problem. Read my post. It says the new volume is ????
27
the new volume is 3L(3W)(3H) or 27 LWH.
Read it again.
