A molecule of glucose under aerobic conditions will yield 36-38 molecules of ATP (only 2 molecules in anaerobic), hence 10 molecules will be 10times 36. Krebs cycle occurs only in aerobic conditions (alongside glycolysis and eletron tranport chain). In most chemical processes, loss of carbon molecules occur in the form of decarboxylation (removal of CO2). Oxygen going in or addition of oxygen is known as OXIDATION, while water going out or loss of water (H2O) is known as DEHYDRATION.
