PLEASE HELP!!!! A fruit basket contains 6 apples and 8 oranges. Sarah randomly selects one, puts it back, and then randomly selects another. What is the probability that both selections were oranges? A. 4/49 B. 9/49 C. 12/49 D. 16/49

OpenStudy (hexagon001):

there are 14 fruits in total. the probability that she pick an orange is 8/14...then she puts the orange back. so the probabilty that she picks another orange is 8/14 again. so because it is one senlection AND then another.. we will multiply both probabilties.. so 8/14 x 8/14...and then you get your answer...

so 4/49?

OpenStudy (hexagon001):

yes
