What is the equation of a line that goes through the points (1, 4) and (2, 2) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Two point form.. You know about it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See we have a formula for it : \(y - y_1 = \cfrac{(y_2 - y_1)}{(x_2 -x_1)} \times (x_2 -x_1) \) where we have two points as \(x_1 , x_2\) and \(y_1 , y_2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where we have two points as \(x_1,y_1\) and \(x_2, y_2\) ^ correction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So just solve for it now. Put \(x_1 = 1\) and \(y_1 = 4\) , \(x_2 = 2\) and \(y_2 = 2\) in the equation above.
