When given measurement , such as: C=36 degrees, a=17, c=16, how do you determine how many triangles these measurements make?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

|dw:1364936924023:dw| You have C, a, and c. So you have side, side, angle. Now use the rules of trig ratios to see if things are valid. The law of sines should let you gfind one other angle. Then A+B+C=180 will let you find the other. Now, the law of sines may give you something that has two answers. You need to check both to see if it makes 0, 1, or 2 valid triangles.
