help me please @Notamathgenius

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

What was one key drawback of the Compromise of 1877? It created limits on the voting public's ability to determine presidential elections. It did not establish a means to settle future disputes over presidential elections. It did not create a new government body to oversee future elections at the state level. It allowed Confederate sympathizers to take positions of power in local and state governments.

OpenStudy (notamathgenius):

First you need to know what the Compromise of 1877 is, refers to a purported informal, unwritten deal that settled the intensely disputed 1876 U.S. presidential election, and ended Reconstruction in the South. Through the Compromise, Republican Rutherford B. Hayes was awarded the White House over Democrat Samuel J. Tilden on the understanding that Hayes would remove the federal troops whose support was essential for the survival of Republican state governments in South Carolina, Florida and Louisiana
