Solve the combined inequality and select the answer that best describes the graph of the solution. -6x - 3 < 3 and 2x – 3 < 7 Open dot at -1, closed dot at 4, and shaded between the numbers Open dot at -1 and 5, shaded between the numbers Closed dot at 1, open dot at 5, and shaded between the numbers None of the above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe it's none of the above, am I correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-6x - 3 < 3\] \[-6x<6\]\[x>-1\] for the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2x – 3 < 7 \]\[2x<10\]\[x<5\] for the second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

combine to get \(-1<x<5\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

assuming they are both \(<\) and not \(\leq\) i would go with "Open dot at -1 and 5, shaded between the numbers"
