OpenStudy (anonymous):

The solution set of 3x-4y>0 lies in which quadrants? a. I only, b. I and II, c. I, II, and III, d. I, III, and IV, e. I, II, III, and IV

OpenStudy (zehanz):

This set is bounded by the line 3x-4y=0, or 3x=4y, or y=4/3 x. The origin is on this line. Its slope is 4/3. Now you know through which quadrants this line passes (make a drawing!) Next, try a point that is not on the line to see on which side of the line the solution lies. Once you know that, you will know the quadrants!

OpenStudy (zehanz):

|dw:1364465353646:dw| In any case, the solution lies in three different quadrants, so a, b and e are wrong...
