OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

If A = {0, 1, 2, 3} and B = {…−3, −2, −1}, what is A ∩ B? {…−3, −2, −1, 0, 1, 2, 3, …} {…−3, −2, −1} {0, 1, 2, 3} { } Would it be A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would say last one d)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no element exist in both sets

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its empty set

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Finally. Getting tired of inequalities :D The intersection of two sets A and B, denoted A ∩ B is the set of all the elements they have in common. DO they have any elements in common? ^.^

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

So y is it an empty set, I don't exactly get that part

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Because they simply have no elements in common :)

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

So like they have no numbers that are the same? U and me both r getting tired of inequalites

OpenStudy (anonymous):

inequa;ities???

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Yes, PRECISELY :) They have no elements in common :) Think of it this way A ∪ B is the set of all elements in A OR B A ∩ B is the set of all elements in A AND B

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

I've been askin inequality q's lately @Jonask

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

Ohhh i see now tj, lemme work the next one u check

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

You do that, I'll doodle ^.^
