I don't know how to find the height of the pyramid.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... the formula for volume of a pyramid is \[V = \frac{1}{3} Base.Area \times height\] the area of the square base is \[A = 3 \times 3 = 9\] so now you can substitute all your known information \[12 = \frac{1}{3} \times 9 \times h\] solve the equation for h... the height

Ok I get it thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok @campbell_st I thought I did but the answer I got itsn;t an option..

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well 12 = 1/3*9*h so simplifying 1/3 * 9 = 3 12 = 3*h whats the value of h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did that, then would you subtract 3, or divide it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh you divide it, because it can also be written as 3h. That kinda tripped me up into think you would subtract it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks dude.
