I need the surface area of a three dimensional cone. The base is 10 ft and the height is 24 ft. I got the volume but can't get the surface area can anyone help me to understand this and how I can get the correct answer please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SA=3.14rs +3.14r^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have the slant height?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry I had to walk away but I'm back

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no I don't have the slant height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well it's going to have a decimal but we can round

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be LA=PI(5)(13) LA=65PI

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[S.A.= 3.14r \sqrt{r ^{2} + h ^{2}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you substitute the numbers in you would get 24.51530134426253 and round 25 or to the tenth 24.5
