Should car companies be required to produce electric cars? Explain why or why not?
@kymber
I think this is an opinion question... it's asking what \(you\) think.
First of all I think that a car must have facilities to get energy from any form of resource from gasoline, sunlight to water and garbage... for instance if you are out of gas in the middle of a dessert in a gas only powered vehicle, what are your options? I prefer a vehicle that can accept energy from (at least) solar, thermal, mechanical (come on... you are desperate in the middle of a dessert) and wind sources... from a humble scientists mind...
Electric cars are actually quite dangerous to pedestrians because the car sneaks up on them. You wouldn't hear the car coming, as you would a car on gasoline.
NO, freedom of choice is the American way.. and .. an electric car would not get me quite to Walmart and being stuck un rural Texas... Where would i Plug it in?? L.A traffic jam, cars dead from sitting, any large town has jams
They should be able to. The reason is the high depletion rate of oil, and the high depletion rate of oil sites. The transition to electric cars would help fill in the gap when fuel resources are near minimal. However, the risks involving electrical hazards may rise. Of course, there are advantages and disadvantages when it comes to entering a new industry to be delivered to the same or new markets.
