Algebra 1 Problem help...
9(6x - 2y = 4) >>> 54x - 18y = 36 6(-9x + 3y = 12) >> -54x + 18y = 12
\[6x-2y=4\]\[-9x+3y=12\]We can use substitution or elimination here. I will use elimination because I find it easier. So we can eliminator one of the variables but first I will make the coefficients of the variables of each equation the same. To do this, I will multiply the first equation by 1.5 or 3/2. So the system then becomes:\[9x-3y=6\]\[-9x+3y=12\]Now I can add the two to eliminate the variables. But we have a problem here, do you notice anything at this point? @kevincourtes
54x - 18y = 36 -54x + 18y = 12 --------------- 0 + 0 = 48
0 = 48 0 does not equal 48, really, so the answer would be....
@strawberry17 no solution?
yes
@strawberry17 thanks alot, can you help me with this one?
do you know of GeoGebra?
well, its basically an application and you can input those inequalities into the input bar and it graphs them for you..
