How would I go about factoring this? -3(x+2)^4-6 Do I multiply out (x+2) 4 times? Do I distribute negative 3 and then multiply it out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it will be the same either way but will be a lot simpler to multiply out (x+2) 4 times

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-3 (x+2)^4-6\] Expanded Form: \[-3 x^4-24 x^3-72 x^2-96 x-54\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got \[-3x ^{4}-24x ^{3}-72x ^{2}-96x-48\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

never mind he is right its 54 because i forgot to subtract the 6
