Calculate the surface area of the circle (πd2/4): 3.14*5^2/4=19.6 Is that right? If it is- Calculate the surface area of the dishwashing circle to molecules per layer (this requires converting the surface area from meters to nanometers):
I'm not sure what this problem is about. The area of a circle is pi r^2 but yes, that would be the same as squaring the diameter and dividing by 4 although I'm not sure what the point would be.
And I don't know if your answer is right because I don't know what the diameter is.
I know the top part is right, I just need help with the second part..
diameter is 5
Is the diameter 5 meters or what?
sorry 5 centimeters.
So the area is 19.6 cm^2
So why does it say we have to convert the area from meters to nanometers? Could you please post the ENTIRE problem?
can I give you the link o the page because it is pdf and wont let me copy paste it all.
ok
So all you have to do there is the arithmetic. They have it all set up for you.
yeah I don't know if I am supposed to add, multiply, or divide...in between the sets
