The diameter is an example of a secant. True or False

Directrix (directrix):

Secant segment or secant line?

Directrix (directrix):

A diameter of a circle is a chord of the circle. I would think that a diameter of a circle is a segment and could be thought of as a secant segment. However, given the way the question is written, I assume that "secant" may well refer to "secant line." In that case, the answer would be false.

Ok thank you I had no clue on this one!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am almost positive that it isn't because a secant is an extended chord so it goes out of circle. So no it is not.

I am just trying to read the mind of whoever created the question. You could look and see how "secant" is defined in your text. If I were answering, I would go with "false."
