Which of the following is not true of a rhombus? A. Its diagonals are perpendicular. B. Its diagonals are congruent. C. Both of its diagonals bisect a pair of opposite angles. D. Its opposite sides are parallel.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is C the correct answer?

Directrix (directrix):

C is not correct as the "not true" answer. One of the properties of a rhombus is that a diagonal bisects a pair of opposite angle of the rhombus.

@Directrix Then I am not sure what would be the answer :(

OpenStudy (phi):

a rhombus looks like a diamond. If you squish the diamond what happens to the diagonals?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@phi you get a square?

OpenStudy (phi):

the diagonals are always perpendicular, but do they look the same length ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They are not congruent! @phi

OpenStudy (phi):

yes
