What is the vertex of the graph of y = –4(x + 2)2 + 5? (2, 5) (–2, 5) (5, –2) (5, 2) Solve. 5x2 – 20 = 0 x = 5 and x = 4 x = 4 and x = 2 x = –5 and x = 20 x = 2 and x = –2 I think the first one is A and the second one is C

5x^2 – 20 = 0 5x^2 = 20 x^2 = 4 sqrt(x^2) = +/- sqrt(4) x = +/- 2
so the second one is d
does that make sense?
