Hello, there is a isoscele triangle. The base is 8cm. The Perimetr is 32. I know it is easy to find other two sides (32=8+2x; x=12) the problem is that: can be two sides longer than the base in the triangle? I have heard somewhere that the base is the longest side, isnt it true?

will you reread the part after the colon, im having trouble understanding the sentence :) thanks!

however the base is not always the longest side. since it is going at an angle, the whole the shortest distance is a straight line thing kinda comes into play!
