Proportion: a projector is shining an image on a screen 'd' metres away. the brightness of the image 'B' varies inversly as the square of the distance. when d=5 and B=40 calculate B when d=3.7 pretty easy question but would it be B=k/sqrtD or B=k/D^2 ? Thanks

OpenStudy (katielong):

so is the equation: \[B=\frac{ k }{ d^{2} }\] or \[B=\frac{ k }{ \sqrt{d} }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's the first equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think the second one is correct

OpenStudy (katielong):
