Well, in order to get rid of the exponent, you will have to raise each side to the power which is the reciprocal of the given exponent.

That mess on the left side needs to go completely in parenthesis. The right side too. Then raise each side to the power that is the reciprocal of the given exponent. So the left side gets raised to the ^(3/4) power, as does the right side.
