i need some math help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following points lie in the solution set to the following system of inequalities? y < x - 5 - y > -x - 4 - A. (-5, 2) B. (5, -2) C. (-5, -2) D. (5, 2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the question asking exactly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to solve the two top inequalities and then once the inequalities are solved to name the ordered pair

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh, ahah ok. give me a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks (:

Which of the following points lie in the solution set to the following system of inequalities? y < x - 5 - y > -x - 4 this is given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

savannah, i got this guy for you. ahah he is better than me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Savannahhhh143

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure for that answer on the given? because i got (1,-10)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i'm sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mm let try then again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the four and the five are negatives

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think try that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant try like that you should be sure ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyways it is e have y≤x−5 and y≥−x−4 let's substitute each point and check a)5,2 in y<=x-5 2<=5-5 => 2<=0 this is not true so this is not the answer b) 5,-2 in -2<=5-5 -2<=5-5 -2<=0 this is true let's check with the other inequality y>=-x-4 -2>=-5-4 true so option B is one of the answers c) (-5,-2) y<=x-5 -2<=-5-5 -2<=-10 false d)(-5,2) 2<=-5-5 2<=-10 this is also not true SO the answer is option B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dang thanks bro
